Manley – Well Built- Great for Voice over or Singing
This was the same mic the late great Don Lafontaine used. He was the master voice of movie trailers that always began with “IN A WORLD” Etta James also preferred this microphone for her vocal songs. This is a Tube Mic built like a tank but such a great sound. The only thing to be aware of is, most places have this mic on 8 hours a day 5 days a week, and that will wear out the tube in time. Sometimes a year, sometimes two years. I have owned two of them. I found after sending both in for new Tubes the sound was not as good as when brand new. Different Tubes do change the sound color of the mic.
